the alarm will deactivate when the ibook is placed back into the orginal position, once we work out the new beta versions bugs i will add the password check so the alarm does not deactivate on its own, the screen will flash if you enable it in Universal Access in the prefences of macosx

Hey, this is a great program first of all. I do have a few questions though. For the iBooks, is the alarm supposed to reset as soon as it is set back down? Second, is the screen supposed to flash for the iBooks or is that just the hires powerbook?

I know my iBook has the SMS. I bougt it in August.

sorry sugar but i dont think your machine has SMS, from what i know it was introduced to the iBooks in the mid 2005 models, yours is the Early 2004 model i beleive

umm sounds like SMS is acting up, try putting this cmd into terminal and send me the exact output

/usr/sbin/system_profiler SPHardwareDataType

Also could you find out what revision/model of your iBook so i can research to find out if you ibook has SMS

When you download and run the correct version, see post “MultiAlarm — Source Code and Application” for more info

After you download the correct version run it and your ibook should make a sound to signal its been activated, after that just try it by moving your iBook

PS. You need to be sure your ibook has SMS activated (My iBook G4 mid 2005 model has it)
