i have installed InsomniaX.App in Snow Leopard

the program was running ok until i restart my macbook pro

It does´t restart and is always asking to turn off computer and Restart

I have reset EFI

I Have reset PRAM and VRAM

and still doesn´t restart

I have unplug the battery and waited half an hour just to start again and still not resolving the issue...

NOW...

I have entered installation DVD just to go to the Terminal.app and execute this:

Enter in terminal : defaults delete com.semaja2.InsomniaX
Delete ~/Application Support/InsomniaX
Delete /Applications/InsomniaX.app

How can i do this using Terminal from the installation DVD ...

I only now how to discover Volumes

ls /Volumes/

Really appreciated some help

I have followed you instruction uninstalling the new 2.0 version of InsomniaX, but to no avail. Event though the program and all traces of it are gone from my system, when ever i close the lid of my macbook air it does not go to sleep. If I open the lid the screen lights back up instantly and the network connection never drops, so i know it is still awake. Then about 30 seconds later the computer goes to sleep even if the lid is completely open and I am using it.

I have tried everything to fix this including reinstalling and uninstalling the program. Nothing works. Please help me, it is very frustrating.

On your Mac press Command + Spacebar this will open the Spotlight search in the upper right-hand corner of your Mac. OR you can just click on the magnifying glass in the upper right-hand corner.

Type Terminal in the search box, you will see it appear as you type, press the Enter key to run it.

If you're coming from the PC this is similar to the Windows Search function in the lower-left hand corner in Vista or Win7.

The Terminal will look similar to a DOS prompt on the PC.

Click on the Finder, should be in your Dock on the far left. Finder is a file browser. With Finder focused, the OS Menu at the top should update, click GO > Utilities. The Terminal application should be listed in the Finder window close to the bottom. Welcome to the shell, and command line interface. It's powerful, I'm still very unskilled in using it but it's amazing what you can do with it.
