Update: Please redownload if your having issues, I have silently released a update
Quick and short this one, it fixes a few issues with the previous release and this one should be a good test of the automated update system built in 
Fixes:
- Reverted Insomnia to r7 from InsomniaX 2.0.1 due to issues
- Fixed issue with Insomnia.kext to have correct identfier
- Compiled for Lion (10.7)

That was fast, but it still doesn’t work for me. There are still the following lines in the system log:
on exiting InsomniaX
8/19/12 1:31:08.000 PM kernel[0]: Kext net.semaja2.kext.insomnia not found for unload request.
and on starting InsomniaX or changing the lid sleep option:
8/19/12 1:30:03.384 PM com.apple.kextd[12]: Kext net.semaja2.kext.insomnia not found for client path request.
I saw the content of info.plist inside the ~/Library/Application Support/InsomniaX/insomnia_r8.kext and the identifiers of the kext seems correct to me, even the kext has have the needed permissions in order to be loaded, but something is still not right.
I fixed the issue with the kext but unfortunately one of the change I made appears to have broken the kext from working at all, so I have silently released another update which puts Insomnia back to r7 from 2.0.1
So please redownload and try again
Run the terminal command “rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/InsomniaX” if you keep having issues
I have removed all the files (/Applications/InsomniaX, ~/Library/Application Support/InsomniaX and ~/Library/Preferences/net.semaja2.insomniax.plist) just in case and redownloaded the application from the above link. But now when I started it, there is no folder InsomniaX, which should be created in ~/Library/Application Support. And according to the Console, the app is looking there for insomnia_r8.kext:

Seriously I cant get anything right at the moment! I accidentally packed up the old version again… sorry for the constant mistakes try again if possible
Ok, I’ve downloaded again and this time there is ~/Library/Application Support/InsomniaX and insomnia_r7.kext inside it. But it also doesn’t work, this time doesn’t even load. Here’s some Console output:

Can you reboot your Mac it appears the old Insomnia is still loaded hence the line:

Can’t open InsomniaX 2.1.1. I get an error saying the package is damage.
By the way, I’m running OS X Mountain Lion
I’m getting the corrupted package error too on ML. Thought it was me and not getting a new DL (pulling from cache). Might be another problem — Andrew can you check the package again?
BTW, auto update detected the new version and downloaded, but bombed on the app install or relaunch.

Tried downloading it multiple times from here and macupdate, both give error of damaged file.
I am too receiving the ‘this app is damaged please delete’ error. Just downloaded a few minutes ago.
Running a 2012 MBA on 10.8.1.
inX 2.0.1 still works.
Sorry about all the stuff ups, this is related to the “Gatekeeper” feature in Mountain Lion and I made a mistake when packaging it up, please redownload from http://insomniax.semaja2.net/InsomniaX-2.1.1.tgz and let me know how you go
InsomniaX is working fine on my Mac but Retina-Icons are still missing. Could you add them in the next Update? That would be great!

Downloaded 2.1.2 from the included update installer and now I can’t disable lid sleep

Been using this for a while, and now officially have a feature request:
Could we have “Do X when the program first opens”? (maybe with a drop-down)
For my purposes, only open insomnia to sleep the display when I go to bed, and would love to just set “Sleep display when program first opens” so that I could fire up the application launcher, type Ins, press enter, and be done.
