Auto-Lock Beta Released
- Previous: SeisMac — Another SMS Program
- Next: MultiAlarm v3.2 beta
In the upcoming version of MultiAlarm, the inbuilt screen lock has been replaced with a newer custom Screen-Lock built from Dominick.
As a test run of this Screen-Lock I have coded a small utility that i find very useful, basically it is a daemon that will execute a screen lock in gaps specified. As some of you will say that this is already built in to MacOSX, this is true but this utility will execute a screen lock every specified gap no matter what occurs.

Auto-Lock
Have you ever left your laptop on your desk and walked away forgetting to put some sort of screen lock in place, or do you just want a simple application that will lock the screen periodically. Well then Auto-Lock is the application for you.Installation
To install simply drag “Auto-Lock Controller” to the “Applications” folder, then launch “Auto-Lock Controller” and proceed to the preferences of “Auto-Lock”
NOTE: Do not place “Auto-Lock Controller” in a directory where it will be changing from, we recommended the default Applications folder, this is because of how Auto-Lock functions and how it adds its self as a start-up item.
NOTE: The Auto-Lock daemon is part of the “Auto-Lock Controller” application; do not delete the Auto-Lock application unless you are sure you want to remove the daemon as well.
How to Use
Auto-Lock is very simple to use, once you have placed it into the Applications folder and set the preferences all you need to do is either:
Run “Auto-Lock Controller” and select “Start Auto-Lock”
(Needs to be performed every-time you want the daemon to run)or
Run “Auto-Lock Controller” and select “Add Auto-Lock as start-up item” then log out and back in
(Only needs to be performed once)Once you have loaded the daemon you may exit the “Auto-Lock Controller” program that is loaded in your dock.
To disable the alarm, simple execute “Auto-Lock Controller” and select the “Disable Auto-Lock” button
