InsomniaX 2.1.4 – Yosemite Preview

I know many of you are desperate for a Yosemite fix, so here it is!

Unfortunately I have not had a chance to refine InsomniaX so it has simply been updated to deal with Yosemite and the code signing requirements, during the project update however GC was replaced with ARC and the battery/ac load menus have been removed due to common complaints.

If you have any issues with this release please run through the standard reinstall procedure listed on the InsomniaX page.

Please do NOT publish this release to any sites like MacUpdate as this is only a preview and is not ready for release!

Please also note that InsomniaX 2.1.4 requires a minimum of OSX 10.9

Donations Restored

After a long and tedious process I have finally been able to restore my PayPal account, during the last 9 months I have been unable to receive any donations and hope that any donations people made were rejected by PayPal.

However at this point all previous donation buttons have now expired and will no longer work (including the ones in the applications) as such I have readded the donation button to the website which is now active and working.

Please also be reminded that the work on project such as InsomniaX is purely funded by donations and helps pay for the Mac Developer account along with the website hosting fees, every donation even as small as a $1 can help pay a part of the subscriptions or fees and the more donations the more I can actively develop the projects.

I would also like to apologies again for the confusion for anyone who had tried to make a donation, and I hope you will understand.

If you would like to make a donation please simply click the PayPal donation button on the right hand side of the website 🙂

Website Revamp

After years of my old theme, and its slow falling apart from upgrades over the years, I thought I would finally put it to rest and revamp my site.

As you will notice I have changed the theme (albeit not sure if this is permanent) but also under the hood cleaned many sections up that were left from old projects, and found old projects that were never published. With this cleaning I have also separated what are the “projects” and the old abandoned projects “ye’ ol’ projects”.

I am looking to upload the source code for anything in “ye’ ol’ projects” as the licences permit along with time to sort through them, hopefully this will help with anyone that wanted to know how to code some of those functions or just see how they worked.

The support desk was demolished and rebuilt as part of the revamp, with the new support desk all cleaned up ready for use. So for any support requests head over to http://support.semaja2.net and raise a ticket, please be reminded that I do not actively provide support and you may not get a response for some time.

I still suggest utilising the comments for any community support, as many fellow users have often answered or solved questions you may have. To help assist on this I will be looking to have an automated archiving of old comments so they don’t clog up the system, along with increased protection from spammers.

Happy Browsing!
