    Hi,

What happens if the mobile unit is not available ?
What happens if the computer “sleeps” ?

    Thanks

  2. If the mobile unit is not available iSync will fail and it will try again next time *i might add detection for failure so it can report in the menu bar a failed attempt*

If the machine goes to sleep the timer also goes to sleep, so if you have the interval at 30 mins and sleep it at 15 minutes the next time you wake it, it will wait the remaining 15 minutes.

    Hi,

Can you please make the auto sync interval time longer, up to once a day for example (or even once a week!)…

Or can it already be done with the Terminal or something?

  4. Wercus

Can you explain some more how to extend the 120 min to lets say once a day. I’m not familiar with terminal.

Nice utility. Keep up the good work.

    Thanks.

Thanks for all your work, but I just wanted to know is how did you get so many menu items on your menu bar. Caught my attenton on the screenshot of SyncBar website.

  8. Well i code my own applications, so i have SyncBar and Utility Lock there always :P

Then my alarm clock program, istat menus then the standard wifi/bt/etc

    So not really that much

Looks good. It would be great if you could set a specific time rather than an interval for sync. I’d rather come home, drop my phone next to the computer, and know that it will sync at 5am when I am sleeping.

  11. Excellent little app, thanks!

I had an applescript that did more or less the same, but I couldn’t figure out how to make iSync not displaying errors when sync failed.

Your app does the same for me and without any annoyances. Thanks! I owe you a beer, at least! :D

  12. This is a great little tool. I am have a small problem though. Syncbar doesn’t launch on startup or login (should it by default?). I am using OS X 10.4.11 and Syncbar 0.2.1. Any help would be appreciated.

There seems to be a problem in leopard a login time. The sync engine needs a lot of time to initialize, and sometimes syncbar starts isync too fast, before sync services are available. Then the sync will fail (and you have to click away some annoying error messages). Apart from that: Cannot live without it anymore ;)

  14. Since a week or so, when i start isync through SyncBar a dialog with the message “isync has been updated and need to refresh” with an option to quit/merge/reset shows up. The dialog shows on and on. It is not shown when running isync manually. Has anybody had the same problem?

It would be grat to hide the Icon in the MenuBar. How can I do that? Is it possible by using the Developer Tools?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
there is a problem with the time. The calculation of the next sync is wrong.

I always sync manually, so I don’t need the infos a) last syncronisation time and b) next synchronisation.

Could you implement in you next release a possibility to turn of the “time-labels” (first and second entry in the menu). Maybe there could be a special option to turn off, or if the “sync every” is set to “Never”.

    Thanks.

    Have a nice day!

  17. Thanks for some other great article. Where else may anybody get that kind of information in such an ideal approach of
writing? I have a presentatyion subsequent week, and I’m at tthe look for such info.
